FHP Notifier collects minimal data necessary to provide the service:
A unique identifier generated by Firebase Cloud Messaging used to deliver push notifications to your device.
Your in-app notification settings: the counties, troop zones, and incident types you have chosen to receive alerts for. These preferences are stored on your device and are also synced to Firebase Realtime Database, associated with your device token, so the backend can deliver only the notifications you have opted into. A 'last seen' timestamp is recorded alongside your preferences each time they change, used to identify and remove inactive device tokens.
Pseudonymous data collected by Google Analytics for Firebase to understand aggregate app usage: an app instance identifier, IP-derived approximate country/region (your raw IP is not retained as part of your analytics profile), device model, OS version, language, app version, and in-app interaction events such as screen views and feature use. No personally identifiable information is sent.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information. We do not require account creation.
We do not collect:
Device tokens and notification preferences are used solely to deliver and filter the push notifications you have opted into. The activity timestamp is used to clean up inactive records. Analytics data is used only to understand aggregate app usage and improve the app. We do not sell your data, do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers, and do not monetize it. Google processes analytics data on our behalf as a data processor; we do not enable Google Signals or any cross-app advertising features.
FHP Notifier uses Google Analytics for Firebase, a service provided by Google LLC, to understand how the app is used and to improve it. Analytics collects a pseudonymous app instance identifier (assigned per install, not your name or any account identifier), your IP address (used only to derive approximate country/region - your IP is not stored as part of your analytics profile), basic device and operating system information (model, OS version, language, region), the app version, and in-app interaction events such as which screens you view and which features you use. We do not pass any personally identifiable information to analytics. We do not enable Apple's IDFA-based ad attribution and we do not request the App Tracking Transparency prompt. We do not use crash-reporting services. Google acts as a data processor on our behalf and does not use this data for advertising. For information on how Google uses data from apps that use its services, visit google.com/policies/privacy/partners.
FHP Notifier uses the following third-party services:
Each of these services operates under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the data practices of third-party services.
Device tokens and the associated notification preferences are retained in Firebase Realtime Database as long as the device remains active. Tokens that have not been seen for an extended period may be removed. You can clear all server-side data associated with your device by disabling notifications for FHP Notifier in your device settings, which will invalidate the token, and by uninstalling the application. Analytics data is retained by Google according to Firebase's default retention settings: user-level data (such as the app instance identifier) is retained for 2 months, and aggregated event data is retained for 14 months.
FHP Notifier is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the application, please contact us at [email protected].
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the application. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
