The Florida Highway Patrol's Live Traffic Crash and Road Condition Report website is an invaluable public resource. FHP Notifier is built on that same information and focuses on delivering it better, keeping it complete, and making it easier to use.
The official FHP website updates on its own, but it can only show you a new incident if you happen to be looking at it. There is no way to be told when something happens, so anything reported while you are away from the page goes unnoticed.
FHP Notifier was created to solve exactly that problem. It monitors Florida Highway Patrol road-condition reports around the clock and sends crash and road-hazard alerts straight to your phone as soon as a new incident is logged in an area you follow. Each alert tells you what happened and where, so you can make a decision before you hit the road.
On the FHP website, once an incident is cleared it is removed from the page, and each update replaces what was there before. Once it's gone, it's gone.
Knowing exactly where a crash or accident is matters as much as knowing what happened. FHP Notifier translates FHP's shorthand into plain language you can understand at a glance.

Florida has thousands of miles of highway. Instead of sorting through the whole state, FHP Notifier lets you focus on the places you actually travel.
FHP Notifier is an independent app and is not affiliated with the Florida Highway Patrol or FLHSMV.
From tow operators to daily commuters, here's how people are using FHP Notifier.
“As a tow truck operator who responds to FHP incidents on the highway, this app is helpful to see what is happening in the area. FHP’s own system on the internet isn’t very user friendly for what I’m trying to use it for, especially on my phone.”
“I am a retired 911 dispatcher and recently discovered your app. I find it very useful to keep track of active events on the highways.”
“This app allows me to see where traffic issues may be that affect my commute to and from work.”
“I find FHP Notifier genuinely useful because it gives me an easy way to see Florida Highway Patrol’s publicly available traffic-incident information in one place. I can check for crashes, hazards, road closures, and other incidents that might affect my route.”
“Great app and easy to use.”
“The app takes publicly available information and presents it in a clean, easy-to-use format. The interface is simple to navigate, and notifications are easy to customize so you can receive the alerts that matter to you. A great way to stay informed about activity across Florida.”
“Learned about this app through the developer’s comment, and it’s absolutely amazing! Everything is so well laid out, no ads, no crazy pop ups, no account needed, just pure information throughout the state. You find out info before it hits the news (which could also be useful to you news reporters out there, it pinpoints the exact location of an incident, the incident type, the timeline of events etc.) Every state needs an app like this!”
“It’s a great app to use especially living in Florida. Being able to keep track of the accidents around my area is amazing I barely go into accident traffic anymore. I highly recommend this app for anybody!!!”
